We want to build a clean, modern, mobile-first WordPress website for Be BiteSmart (BBS), a standalone educational platform focused on preventing serious dog-bite injuries to children.

The site will be optimized for clarity, trust, and ease of use for parents, pediatric health professionals, injury-prevention organizations, educators, veterinarians, media, and caregivers. It will feature clear navigation, responsive design, and well-integrated educational video content (YouTube/Vimeo or hosted), with attention to page performance and user experience.

This project is implementation-focused, not content creation. A comprehensive Be BiteSmart Website Development Guide and template already exist, including site structure, layout guidance, and content rules. The volunteer’s role is to efficiently implement and refine the site in WordPress, preparing it for launch. Experience building live WordPress sites and comfort with UX/UI best practices are essential. A genuine interest in dogs and child safety is a plus.
A standalone Be BiteSmart website creates a singular, education-first platform focused exclusively on age-appropriate canine body-language video education for children. It clearly separates CCBS’s research mission from Be BiteSmart’s prevention and injury-reduction role, strengthens the visibility of specialized pediatric, behavioral, and medical advisors, and provides a dedicated channel for financial support to expand video production and mobile app development.
Our team will provide the complete Website Development Guide. We have defined the scope and page structured, and we have identified a single point of contact. Volunteers will have access to CCBS branding and assets.
