Mentor to Support Fundraising & Campaigns Lead at Global Nonprofit

We’re seeking a kind, experienced mentor to work one-on-one with our Campaigns and Fundraising Lead — a bright and motivated young professional who is stepping into this space for the first time.

The volunteer will meet with our Campaigns and Fundraising Lead over a defined period to provide guidance and reflective feedback on:
• Understanding the basics of nonprofit fundraising strategy
• Learning how to structure donor campaigns
• Exploring what makes messaging and timing effective
• Reviewing and refine campaign ideas or partnership pitches
• Building her confidence in leading campaigns and engaging supporters

We’re looking for someone who’s willing to meet biweekly (or on a flexible schedule) for a period of 6-8 weeks, and who enjoys teaching and mentoring in a practical, encouraging way. This is about helping someone grow into their leadership — not expecting perfection.

Creshendo is a global nonprofit supporting migrants and displaced communities through storytelling, education, and economic opportunity. As a volunteer-led organization, we rely on campaigns and partnerships to keep our work moving.

By mentoring this team member, you’ll help build internal leadership, improve how we connect with supporters, and make sure our funding model stays rooted in community — not just crisis response.

You’ll be supported by our Executive Director and given clear context on our current funding goals and campaign plans. You’ll meet directly with our Campaigns Lead and have full visibility into the areas where she’s seeking guidance.

We'd like to have a co-created mentoring plan with the Campaigns and Fundraising Lead, including documented guidance, campaign planning tools, and reflection prompts she can continue using as she grows into her role.
