* 1 person has applied to this opportunity
Bright Strides is seeking a website expert to review and analyze our current website (www.brightstrides.org) and provide feedback on its layout, user-friendliness, mobile readiness, content, design, and overall effectiveness. Your recommendations will help us refresh our website so it better supports our mission, strategic goals, and community engagement.

We currently host on Wix.

What We’re Looking For:
* An audit of our current website against our organizational goals and strategic priorities (credibility, fundraising, volunteer engagement, program visibility).
* Clear analysis of what’s working, what’s not, and what’s missing.
* Recommendations for improvements in content, design, and functionality — including donation flows, volunteer intake, and storytelling.
* A short presentation of findings to our leadership team, plus a written report (we’ll provide an audit guide template to help structure your analysis).

Process:
* Kickoff briefing: We’ll share our goals, target audiences, and what we hope to achieve through the website.
* Interim check-ins: You’ll present initial insights and high-level feedback on a regular basis; we’ll provide clarifications and priorities. Suggest Weekly/ TBC
* Final presentation: You’ll deliver a presentation of your recommendations and a written document outlining suggested tactics, features, and updates.

Time Commitment: We estimate 15–20 hours over 3–4 weeks for the full review and recommendations. Let us know if we missed the mark here.

What This Project Does Not Include:
* Website design/build
* Website development/coding
* Development of a content marketing strategy

Ideal Volunteer:
* Experience in web design, UX, and digital marketing
* Strong communication skills to clearly present recommendations
* Nonprofit or small-organization experience a plus
Bright Strides exists to empower individuals of all ages and abilities—especially those experiencing trauma, disability, or mental health challenges—through equine-assisted therapy, art, and holistic wellness programs. Our website is the digital front door to this mission: it’s where veterans find healing programs, families in grief discover resources, volunteers connect to service opportunities, and donors learn how their support changes lives.

Right now, our site doesn’t fully reflect the scope of our impact or the scale of our vision. By helping us audit and improve our website, you will directly strengthen our ability to:

Connect horse owners, farms, and equine facilities with programs that serve veterans, people in recovery, youth, and individuals with special needs.

Reach more participants and families in need of healing, resilience, and community.

Inspire donors and sponsors to support horses and humans through compelling storytelling and transparency.

Grow our Satellite Program, a national initiative that matches local horses with local communities for maximum impact.

Your work will ensure that every visitor to our website experiences Bright Strides as a trusted, professional, and welcoming organization — one capable of delivering healing and hope through the powerful connection between horses and people.
We’ve done our homework and are ready to make this collaboration a success. Bright Strides has:

Clear organizational alignment – Our leadership team and Board are fully behind this website refresh, and we see it as a cornerstone of our 5-Year Strategic Plan.

Prepared materials – We’ve developed a detailed Website Audit & Refresh Guide outlining our target audiences, strategic priorities, and expected outcomes. This will serve as the starting point for your review. We will share the Strategic Plan as reference

Access to data and tools – You’ll be given access to the back end of our Wix site, as well as Google Analytics, so you can evaluate performance and user behavior.

Dedicated project lead – A member of our team will serve as your main point of contact, ensuring smooth communication, timely feedback, and support throughout the project.

Plan for implementation – Your recommendations won’t sit on a shelf. They will directly inform our website refresh process, which is already in motion as part of our strategic plan.

With these preparations in place, you can be confident that your work will be impactful, well-supported, and translated into action.
