Create Engaging Short Videos and Animations to Empower African Youth

The Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa (YALDA) is seeking a passionate and creative volunteer video editor/animator to help us drive youth engagement through powerful 30-second to 1-minute videos and short animations.

These videos will be shared primarily on TikTok, WhatsApp, and Instagram to encourage our community to:
-Be active in their local communities
-Serve others with commitment
-Submit content for our social media
-Engage with and comment on our platforms
-Fulfill their volunteer commitments on time and with enthusiasm

We have a growing library of raw video clips submitted by our members, and we need your support to transform these into dynamic and inspiring content. We’d also love your help designing a few animated videos that capture key themes of youth leadership, service, and digital engagement.

This project will include:
-Editing 5–10 short videos (30–60 seconds each) using footage we provide
-Adding music, branding, and visual polish to fit TikTok and WhatsApp formats
-Creating 2–3 short animated clips (motion graphics or simple illustrations)
-Recommending free or affordable tools youth can use to create their own content
-Hosting 1–2 short training sessions (live or pre-recorded) for our team on basic editing and animation

YALDA is a youth-led pan-African movement that empowers young Africans to lead development in their own communities. Your contribution will:

-Help amplify real youth voices from across the continent
-Strengthen the spirit of volunteerism and civic engagement
-Build up the next generation of digital storytellers and content creators

We’re excited to work with someone who believes in the power of youth and wants to make a tangible impact through creativity and mentorship.

Our Ideal Volunteer Has:
-Experience editing social media content (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)
-Skills in basic animation or motion graphics (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, etc.)
-An interest in youth leadership, community impact, or African development
-A heart for mentorship and skills-sharing
-Availability over the next 4–6 weeks (flexible, remote)
