Are you passionate about social media and eager to make a global impact at a critical time? World Neighbors is seeking a dedicated volunteer to develop a dynamic social media strategy for our 75th anniversary, which we will celebrate from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.

At a moment when massive international aid cuts are threatening programs that millions of vulnerable people depend on, World Neighbors continues to stand alongside marginalized communities in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. We believe now—more than ever—the world needs to hear their stories of resilience and hope.

That’s where you come in. By helping us craft a compelling social media strategy, you’ll ensure these urgent voices are elevated and mobilize the next generation of global supporters to act.

Out of scope activities:
-Implementation of social media strategy
-Design of campaign elements
-Website updates
Why Volunteer With World Neighbors?
This is not just a marketing project—it’s an opportunity to shape the global conversation at a pivotal moment in international development.

You’ll help celebrate 75 years of transformative work while positioning World Neighbors for the next decade of impact.

You’ll play a central role in attracting new and younger supporters at a time when their voices and advocacy are urgently needed.

You’ll directly support communities whose futures are on the line, ensuring their stories are seen and heard worldwide.

Ready to Make a Difference?
If you’re excited to leverage your social media expertise to inspire action and hope on a global scale, we want to hear from you!

Apply now and help shape the future of World Neighbors—because in this moment of shrinking aid and growing challenges, your voice can help ensure our work can serve more people around the globe.
Why This Matters Now
Global need is skyrocketing, while funding is shrinking. Communities we serve face pressing challenges—from food insecurity to climate change—that threaten livelihoods and stability. Yet, these communities also have solutions, innovations, and hope-filled stories to share.

Your volunteer work will ensure these stories break through the noise, inspire engagement, and push back against global indifference. At this critical time in history, your skills can truly make a difference.

What You’ll Do
Design a Platform-Specific Social Media Plan: Build strategies for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube to engage younger audiences and amplify our anniversary campaigns.

Craft Compelling Content: Create a one-month social calendar with 15–20 posts that can be adapted across platforms, with fresh and trend-forward ideas like reels, challenges, and stories.

Recommend Best Practices & Tools: Guide us on automation tools and platform optimization to manage campaigns more efficiently.

Collaborate Across Borders: Work with our international team and field staff to infuse authentic, community-driven perspectives.

Who We’re Looking For
Experienced Strategists: Background in building and managing social media strategies for nonprofits, campaigns, or initiatives targeting youth and global audiences.

Creative Storytellers: Able to bring bold, trend-relevant ideas with sensitivity to global issues.

Collaborative Partners: Excited to work across cultures with our staff in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the U.S.
