Google Ads Video Development
Girls in Gear is seeking a creative video partner to produce short, high-impact video ad campaign for our Google Ads that tells our story, captures our mission, and inspires viewers to learn more. We need three short videos that communicate who we are and why we matter - using real footage/photos of girls riding, laughing, learning, and growing.
General Specs for All Videos:
File Format: MP4
Aspect Ratio: 16:9 (landscape, primary), 1:1, 9:16
Resolution: 1080p (1920x1080)
Duration: 15 to 30 seconds (multiple versions preferred)
Captions: Burned-in if applicable
Max File Size: 1 GB
Video Structure Guidance (30s Video)
0–5 seconds
Hook visually with energy, emotion, or a key question
Example: “How can young girls build confidence?”
6–15 seconds
Show real moments: girls riding bikes, trying, smiling, celebrating
Include a simple supporting message about the organization’s mission
16–25 seconds
Reinforce impact: transformation, confidence, teamwork, overcoming challenges
Example: “Our bike programs help girls gain skills, strength, and self-belief.”
26–30 seconds
End with strong call to action and brand presence
On-screen: Logo + website or CTA like “Learn more at [site]”
Best Practices
Use real footage of participants (avoid stock where possible)
Include subtitles for accessibility (if voiced over)
Use uplifting, royalty-free music
Avoid long intros, text-heavy slides, or abstract footage
Avoid full-screen logos until the end
Ensure the message works without sound
Deliverables needed
At least one 30-second landscape video (16:9), one 30-second square video (1:1), and one 15-second portrait video (9:16)
Optionally, a 15-second cutdown version for testing
Ensure logo and CTA appear at the end
Girls in Gear is growing fast - and we’re on a mission to make biking, and everything it teaches about confidence, resilience, and self-worth, accessible to every girl, regardless of ability or income.
We’ve spent years refining our all-abilities programs, and now we’re ready to expand our reach. By joining us on this Google Ads project, you’ll help us connect with more families, recruit more amazing volunteers, and bring our empowering programs to new communities across the country.
Your time and talent will directly support girls gaining access to bikes - and to themselves. We can’t wait to ride forward, together!
A dedicated volunteer has already set up our Google Ads account, and we’ve secured a Google Ad Grant to support our efforts. You’ll collaborate with this volunteer to ensure your content is seamlessly integrated into our existing setup.
We’re prepared to share login credentials to our Google Workspace, and in our first session together, we’ll brief you on our marketing goals, as well as our mission, vision, and purpose.
Your support in training our team on Google Ads best practices will help ensure the long-term success of the great work you share with us.
