Project Overview

Our nonprofit is searching for a) assistance with locating organizations to submit grant requests to, b) assistance with writing grant proposals (grant writer) and c) assistance with submitting the grant proposals.

Our owner/founder was our major fundraiser, she is now retired, we are exploring avenues for continued funding for our nonprofit. This project may require more than one volunteer with different scopes of expertise. This is an ongoing project for continued funding for our nonprofit.
We are a 30+ year nonprofit supporting the education of Maya children in northwest Guatemala. We focus on the underserved Maya in rural villages. We've built a middle school and a high school and recently implemented a Bilingual Early Literacy program for preschoolers in three nearby villages. Almost 50 students are enrolled in our middle and high school and our Early Literacy program serves over 35 preschoolers. We fund teachers and staff salaries, room and board for the students, and educational materials for the students and the preschoolers.

We have a solid base of private donors and recipient of many grants through service organizations. We are supported by 100% non-paid volunteers and all funds raised are transferred to Guatemala for our educational programs.
We have an extensive website with all of our programs prominently featured, plus a large 'library' of blog news and updates. We have eight committed volunteers in the U.S. to provide information, answer questions and assist in ways required to complete our grant project. We all work online and are proficient with Microsoft Word, Google Docs and Excel. Once our grant funders are sourced and our grant proposals are written, the grant requests will be submitted.
