Project Overview
We would like a volunteer to support in creating a tool that facilitates more efficient reconciliation between our payment processor, CRM accounting/daily transactions detail, and bank deposits. We have multiple systems and multiple payment processors, and we find the reconciliation process to be very cumbersome and time-consuming. We are seeking a way to make this process more efficient and accurate. We thought Excel could be a tool to assist with this but are open to ideas from an expert.
This project is a priority because our accounting team is backlogged as a result of transitions to new CRM systems that have made processes easier for programs and customers, but more complex in terms of reconciliation. This project would ensure we have more accurate accounting records, help us to identify issues faster, and ultimately free up the accounting team to provide better service to our organization in other areas. This is a strategic priority of our organization to strengthen our core and position us for future growth.
We have examples of the reports that we pull from each system and can detail the challenges we face with the current reconciliation project. We would work with the volunteer to understand these challenges and the needs for a more robust tool to support the process. Once we have the tool, we would begin using it immediately. This would allow us to catch up on reconciliation and position ourselves to close the year quickly in preparation for our annual audit.
